
Anthony David Gonzalez (born February 27, 1976) is an former American football tight end who was a part of the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. Gonzalez is considered one of the most significant tight ends in the world. Gonzalez holds the NFL record for receiving yards and receptions as a tightener. In addition, he is third in total receptions. Gonzalez began his 12 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, who selected him in the first round of the 1997 NFL Draft. Also, he played with the Atlanta Falcons for five of the final seasons. Gonzalez quit in 2013 and has been an analyst in the football league at NFL on Prime Video. He was previously employed by CBS Sports and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also received six first-team All-Pro honors. Gonzalez is famous for his endurance and rare Fumbles. He played in 272 games of the regular season and only lost two fumbles over 1,327 plays. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Gonzalez was inducted in 2019.
